Perinatal Counseling: Support Through Pregnancy and Early Parenthood
Perinatal counseling provides emotional and mental health support during pregnancy, postpartum, and the early parenting years. It helps individuals and couples navigate the challenges, transitions, and emotions that come with fertility struggles, pregnancy, birth experiences, and adjusting to parenthood.
Whether you're experiencing anxiety, depression, birth trauma, grief, or relationship changes, perinatal counseling offers a safe space to process emotions, strengthen coping skills, and build confidence in your parenting journey. You don’t have to go through this alone—support is here.
Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs)
Perinatal counseling is ideal for pregnant or new parents- both birth and adoptive- navigating the emotional challenges of this life-changing transition. 1 in 5 women and 1 in 10 men experience depression, anxiety or intrusive thoughts during the perinatal period. Our time together will be spent in one on one sessions, focusing on what’s causing distress in your daily life, helping you process emotions and build coping strategies, restoring your confidence in yourself and your role as a parent.
-
If you don’t feel like yourself, feel overwhelmed, or find yourself worrying excessively, you’re not alone. Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) can appear in different ways, including sadness, irritability, sleep disturbances, panic, or a sense of disconnection. These feelings are common, but they are not something you have to live with.
Preparing for Parenthood: A Guided Exploration
Preparing for Parenthood is ideal for those expecting a baby or considering parenthood, offering support as you navigate this life change. The program is organized to meet for four 1.5-hour sessions, providing guidance, connection, and preparation for the journey ahead.
-
Becoming a parent—whether you’re expecting or simply exploring the idea—brings emotional, relational, and lifestyle changes. This program creates space to reflect on your needs, hopes, and concerns, while strengthening communication, stress management, and relationship dynamics. By building a secure foundation before birth, you’ll step into parenthood feeling informed, connected, and prepared.
Third-Party Reproduction Counseling
Third-party reproduction counseling is ideal for individuals or couples considering or undergoing family-building options involving a third party. Our time would be spent addressing the emotional, ethical and psychological aspects of these processes, helping intended parents navigate complex decisions and prepare for the unique dynamics that third-party reproduction may introduce into their family life.
-
Third party reproduction can include sperm or egg donation, embryo donation, or surrogacy. For families involved, this counseling offers a safe space to explore feelings, set realistic expectations and develop strategies for future challenges, fostering healthier relationships and well-being throughout their family building journey.
Perinatal Grief Counseling: Support through Loss
Perinatal grief counseling is ideal for anyone experiencing the loss of a pregnancy, an infant or the dreams of parenthood. Our time together would be spent in a safe compassionate space honoring your loss without judgment.
-

Counseling for Birth Trauma: Healing Your Experience
Counseling for birth trauma is for anyone experiencing post-traumatic stress symptoms after a distressing birth- whether you experienced or witnessed the even.
